Scrap and rework rarely come from one bad part. They come from a process nobody has measured properly, so the cost gets absorbed into the standard rather than fixed. In manufacturing that shows up as parts scrapped and jobs run twice. In repair it shows up as parts written off at inspection instead of recovered, and as the same repair coming back.
The knowledge that prevents it usually sits with two or three experienced people — and leaves when they do.
Our engagements are productised, not bespoke. Each has a defined scope, deliverable and price band. We start on one real component and one real process, with a measurable outcome, and build from there.
This work often leads on to our software, or to us doing the measuring. It does not have to: if the right answer is a small change you make yourselves, we will say so.
